Our Mission & Vision

At the Wings Track Club we take great honor in assisting each athlete with the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. We successfully accomplish this by developing athletic speed, endurance, strength, encouraging high self-esteem, personal accountability, self-discipline, goal setting, and goal achievement. Wings Track Club seeks to develop well-rounded individuals who learn not only the ground rules of athletic training but also the importance of education in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound character.

Winning begins in your mind not at the finish line.

Why Join The Wings?

We have a dedicated staff of volunteer coaches and administrators, whose desire is to see the inexperience athlete develop into a competitive collegiate contender. Wings athletes continue to flourish in institutions of higher education and several are currently competing with scholarships at various colleges and universities throughout the United States.

Club History

The Wings Track Club of Houston, Texas is one of the nation’s leading and most experienced youth track and field organizations in the state of Texas. Mr. Curtis Terrel founded the club in 1977 out of the need to assist young persons, who were interested in organized track and field competition on local, regional, and national levels.

The Wings Track Club is a 501.3(c) non-profit corporation, which uses the Fort Bend County’s Willowridge High School facility for weekly practices and annually held home track meets.

Since the Clubs inception the Wings Track Club has been a pillar for the surrounding Houston community not only providing a viable organization where kids could develop their  track and field abilities but also serving as a portal for sending athletes to colleges and universities across the United States. Over 75% of Wings athletes have received collegiate scholarships to the nation’s top ranked U.S. institutions. The Club has also produced many elite athletes that compete on the Olympic national circuit.
